Grollo Group
The Grollo Group’s interests encompass property investment, development, building design, construction, and tourism.
Grollo Group
The Grollo Group is built on a tradition of excellence, honour, community concern and fairness that began with Luigi Grollo in Melbourne in 1948, and endures amongst his sons and grandchildren.
Today, the Grollo family continues this tradition through three companies – Grollo Australia, Grollo Leisure & Tourism and Grollo Real Estate Management.
The Grollo Group is also recognised for its philanthropy in sport and education.
Grollo Property
Over the years, the Grollo Group has expanded its role of builder to become a significant property developer and owner.
From building community facilities in the 1960s, the group expanded into building landmark properties in the 1980s.
Now in the 21st century the group has moved into the development of innovative commercial and educational facilities.
Grollo Tourism
The Grollo Group's tourism interests extend from the Great Barrier Reef to outback Australia and Victoria’s alpine region.
Its diverse services range from luxury resorts to adventure experiences, with active community involvement also a driving philosophy.
Rino and Diana Grollo continue their generous support of organisations, initiatives and events that benefit the community, and have passed their philanthropic values on to their children and grandchildren.
Grollo History
Luigi Grollo left Treviso, Italy in 1928 for a new life in Melbourne, Australia. In the 1940s, he started a business with a small team of men and one truck.
Over the next 50 years, this business grew into one of Australia’s largest construction groups.
The Grollos changed city skylines and revolutionised Australia’s construction industry through innovative practices and the fair treatment of workers.
In 2000, Luigi’s sons Bruno and Rino divided the company to pursue their own goals, with Rino taking control of Grollo Australia and the Grollo share in the Rialto.
Over the past decade, Rino and Diana Grollo have consolidated their companies and focused on their areas of interest – sport, education, tourism and community.
