990 La Trobe Street, Docklands Melbourne

Equiset Construction was awarded the D&C contract to build Melbourne Water’s new Headquarters through a competitive tender process in 2010. The integrated fit-out was later awarded Q3, 2011.

Located in the Digital Harbour Precinct, the new building will enable Melbourne Water to consolidate most of its office-based operations. The 8 level, ‘A’ Grade commercial office includes 12,200m2 of floor space, a ground floor retail tenancy and 4 levels of basement car parking.

Sustainability is a core principle for Melbourne Water which is a key factor in the building's design. In December 2011, 990 Latrobe Street was awarded a 6 Star Green Star – Office Design v3 Certified Rating from the GBCA which represents ‘World Leadership’ in environmentally sustainable design. Large 2,000m² floor plates, with a series of open, interconnecting, atrium spaces linking the six upper levels of the building have been incorporated to facilitate connectivity between the organisations various departments.

The $85m project extends Equiset’s Docklands experience in delivering  'A Grade' office space following the completion of the Goods Shed North & 737 Bourke Street.
