Initiation

Equiset has developed a strong relationship with the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Broken Bay, Catholic Education Office Sydney, and Catholic Education Office Parramatta.  Due to our reputation for successfully delivering projects on time, to budget and of high quality, we were invited to project manage and construct a number of B.E.R schools.

Delivery

The following is a list of the Building the Education Revolution projects Equiset delivered from June 2009 - April 2011.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION OFFICE SYDNEY
$12 Million

Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, Pagewood

  • New school library
  • 400m2 multi purpose hall,
  • Administration facilities
  • Refurbishment of 7 existing GLAs.

St. Patricks Primary School, Kogarah

  • Upgrade of the existing Primary School and Parish facilities.

St. Columba and the Holy Souls Primary School, North Leichhardt

  • 300m2 multi purpose hall

CATHOLIC SCHOOL’S OFFICE DIOCESE OF BROKEN BAY
$22 Million

Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School, Terrigal  

  • New single storey Early Learning Centre.
  • Refurbishment of the existing administration and library building.

St. Kieran’s Primary School, Manly Vale  

  • Two new GLAs
  • Refurbishment of a two storey building containing six GLAs
  • Two new veranda’s to the existing buildings.

Our lady Star of Good Counsel Primary School, Forestville

  • New single storey Early Learning Centre
  • 4 new GLAs

St. Martin de Porres Primary School, Davidson

  • New single storey 450m2 building including a new library, classrooms and staff facilities.
  • Extensive external walkways, ramps and covered veranda’s

Corpus Christi Primary School, St Ives

  • New two storey building, which includes a new library and administration facility

St. Mary’s Primary School, Manly

  • Refurbishment of an existing three storey heritage listed building. This will include a new lift and the replacement of the existing roof. The refurbished building includes a new library and 4 new GLAs.

Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, Shelly Beach

  • Construction of a new 850m2 multi purpose hall

St. Cecilia’s Primary School, Bagowlah

  • Refurbishment of 4 existing GLAs and a multipurpose hall
  • Construction of two covered veranda’s

St John the Apostle Primary School, Narraweena

  • Demolition of a single storey administration building
  • Construction of a new two storey building, which includes administration offices, a library four GLAs
  • New single storey building consisting of 2 GLAs.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION OFFICE PARRAMATTA
$9 Million

Sacred Heart Primary School, Westmead

  • New 2 storey building to accommodate GLAs and a library.

Patrician Brothers High School, Blacktown

  • Construction of a new 2 storey Language Centre.

St Monica’s Primary School, North Paramatta

  • Demolition of sections of the existing school buildings
  • New facilities including single storey administration office, undercroft, student toilets, special purpose area, first floor GLA’s, lift and associated areas. 
  • Construction of a new driveway, carpark, upgrade of the playground, associated landscaping and paving
  • Construction and refurbishment of the canteen & toilet in existing parish hall

Sydney BER Schools

Through Equiset’s strong relationships with the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Broken Bay, Catholic Education Office Parramatta and the Catholic Education Office Sydney, we were proud to be involved in the delivery of schools for the Building the Education Revolution Program.

For each project, Equiset were heavily involved with the client and stakeholders to understand the unique requirements of each school in order to create a project brief that would achieve the best possible outcomes.

Through early consultation with the client, we were able to maximise value from the initial design process through to construction delivery.

Project management for the BER projects included writing the principal requirements of each project, providing concept drawings for consultation and approval, development approval, commissioning of professional design consultants, contract administration, stakeholder and community consultation, design management, programming, construction and risk mitigation.

Equiset understands the challenges of working in live environments. Throughout all projects, we were able to work with the school to achieve successful operational and safety requirements.
