Monash Village — Monash University Caulfield Campus

Western Precinct Development

The proposed $300 million Equiset development Monash Village, incorporated retail, student apartments, education, and office precincts over three basement levels and six buildings, linking a
diverse range of communities and creating plazas that will be the heart of campus and
community village life.

Equiset proposed a significant redevelopment of the existing retail and University facilities located in the Caulfield Major Activity Centre, at the western end of the University campus.

A key aim of the project (Monash Village) was to integrate the University campus with the community and create an active, vital and sustainable town centre.

Monash Village is a project that took seven years of design consultation and exemplifies Equiset’s capacity to provide complex property solutions that deliver a true benefit to all stakeholders. Equiset’s proposed role was that of owner, developer, project manager and builder.

In mid 2009 the development agreement between Equiset and Monash University ceased and further progress is pending.
